Recently as I was going through my Grandmothers’s old photo albums and I realized I wasn’t making sure Grandpa’s tie was straight or huffing at the clutter on the counter. What I saw was a genuine smile, a table full of neat glasses, unique bottles, wicked old Tupperware, his glasses at the tip of his nose, just like they always were. And an old radio in the corner that I could hear as I looked at the photograph.
Time is always changing, pictures are there to remind us of how things were, I focus less on the “perfect” and more on the real so when you look back you see truth and your memories flood in and bring you right back.
